Wildlife Paddle Board or Kayak Adventure at Blue Spring
French Landing, Orange City
Beginner & kid friendly! • 30 miles from downtown Orlando
In the winter (November through March), Blue Spring is home to more manatees than any other place on the planet. Last winter, Savethemanatee.org counted 572 manatees here at the same time! There are other places to see manatees, but there is no place in the world where you can see more at the same time, however we cannot guarantee that we will always see manatees.
This is a beginner and family friendly adventure. If you have ever wanted to learn how to SUP, Stand up Paddleboard, this is the perfect time.
After a safety lesson on land you will launch on your paddleboarding and kayaking adventure to explore the river. We'll sit quietly by the entrance to the spring where hundreds of manatees are known to swim in and out right past our vessels throughout the day during manatee season. We call it the Manatee Show! We often see mothers with their babies, young manatees, and older manatees.
Enjoy a paddle of this scenic Old Florida waterway. The views are EPIC! Make sure to bring your phone to take pictures. We will provide a dry bag for those small items that you want to keep dry.
If you are thinking of things to do in Orlando areas, this tour is an amazing outdoor adventure all year round.
This adventure shows Florida at her finest. You will leave with memories for a lifetime and unforgettable pictures.
We offer 2 times each day to see the manatees. We cannot guarantee that the manatees will be seen, but please know that the earlier session is more likely to see manatees. As the sun comes up, they start to move in and out of the spring as the air warms up, which is when we see them most.
