About
Join us for a unique adventure! Paddle back in time in old Florida with an Eco tour in Deep Creek conservation area. Deep Creek Conservation Area totals 5,374 acres on the both sides of State Road 207 near Hastings. The area’s north tract has a 2.7-mile trail open to hikers, bikers and equestrians. Wildlife viewing may include glimpses of deer, turkey and a variety of waterfowl, Wading, and marsh birds. This includes double-breasted cormorants, egrets and great blue herons. They are typically prevalent at the conservation area’s 203-acre Edgefield parcel along Dog Branch, a tributary of the St. Johns River.

A launch facility is available at the Deep Creek bridge on State Road 207, just west of State Road 206. Alligators can be seen along the creek as well as manatees and otters. Most of the tour is canopied and shaded. This is one of St Augustine’s closest real freshwater kayak tours, about a 20 minute drive from downtown.

We offer this guided tour for those that want to get off the beaten path. There are no facilities at the launch(woods) and no where to get out of your kayak once you’re on the creek. This is a group tour with an easy rating. All skill levels are welcome!
