Join us, as our experienced tour guides thrill and chill you with stories and tales of:
• Charleston's ghosts, poltergeists and spirits doomed to the realm of mortals. Hear the tales of the ghosts that wander the streets of Charleston and that haunt our local establishments.
• Lowcountry superstitions of night time spirits like Plateyes and Boo Hags.
• The respectable origins of the Charleston Pub, Public House and Tabernae (taverns).
• Prohibition, and how locals found ways to circumvent the laws.
• Piracy and the rum trade.
• The old Speak Easy's where bootlegger Vincent J. Chicco made a fortune selling tickets to "Blind Tiger Fights," then used his money and influence to win election to the City Council for four consecutive terms. He also managed to be the chief investigator of all alcohol related crimes.

FAQ
Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Advanced purchase is strongly recommended as tours often sell out well in advance. To Maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer, please book ahead.
When does the Haunted Pub Crawl go?
The Haunted Pub Crawl runs on Fridays and Saturdays only from 4:00 to 6:30 pm.
Is there an age limit for the tour? Can I bring my young child if he/she doesn't drink?
We do not allow anyone under the age of 21 on the Haunted Pub Crawl. Most of the places we visit do not allow young children and will deny them access to the bar. We do, however, have several other family friendly tours, such as The Ghost & Dungeon Tour, The Ghost & Graveyard Tour, and The Haunted Jail Tour.
Are food and alcohol included in the tour cost?
No. The cost of tour admission does not include food and beverages.
Can I buy food or drinks along the way? What about souvenirs?
While at each bar you may purchase food and drinks, however due to time constraints, we only make scheduled stops. Usually the Haunted Pub Crawl visits 3 to 5 local pubs and there is no extra time for unscheduled stops.
The website is telling me I have to purchase 4 tickets. Why is that?
We do require a minimum of 4 people for the Haunted Pub Crawl to run. If the minimum has not yet been met, please call our office to put your name on the waiting list. We will call you as soon as enough people have booked to confirm the tour.
How many people can go on the Haunted Pub Crawl?
Due to the size of the pubs that we visit, we limit the tour to 12 people.
Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
Using a wheelchair can be very difficult in Charleston due to 300 year-old cobblestone and slate streets. It can be done, but may be a bit challenging.
What happens if it rains?
Tours will go on rain or shine. If there is a hurricane in Charleston at the time of the tour, there is no need to show up. We will be busy boarding up windows or throwing a Hurricane Party. (Seriously though, we run in every kind of weather.)
Are restrooms available?
The Haunted Pub Crawl visits several local bars, taverns and pubs which do have restrooms available.
Are cameras & video recorders allowed on the tours?
YES!! In fact, we highly recommend taking pictures during the tour. We often get pictures of some eerie stuff from our guests - especially from The Dungeon (Charleston Ghost & Dungeon Tour) and the Jail (Haunted Jail Tour)!! We would appreciate you sending anything out of the ordinary to us. You can e-mail us any photos.
Will we see a ghost on any of the tours?
Maybe. However, there is a minimal charge of $3 per person if we see a ghost. That is, if you stick around to actually PAY the $3!!
Where does the tour end?
All tours end in the vicinity of the meeting location in Charleston's Historic Market District.
How much walking is involved?
This tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours and covers about 1 mile total. There are frequent stops along the way and the tour is far from strenuous.
Are these tours only for tourists?
Of course not. All Bulldog Tours are chock full of facts and stories even the oldest Charlestonian couldn't tell you. Tourists and locals alike all learn things about Charleston they didn't know before and have a great time in the process.
Do we guarantee the tours?
Yes, if you are not 100% satisfied with the tour, your money will be refunded.
