We bring you to the beginning of the river and tell you all about the springs and aquifer! Here we are likely to see manatees, otters, alligators, birds and turtles! You never know what surprises we'll see on this adventure! The diversity in amazing!
Then we head down river and go around the famous Monkey Island and tell you the interesting story of how the spider monkeys got there! Be ready to take a family photo here!!!
After that we head all the way out to the mouth of the river where it meets the Gulf of Mexico! Here we are likely to see dolphins, shore birds, sea turtles, bald eagles and more. Where the river meets the Gulf is a very important and specialized habitat called an estuary! We show and tell you exactly why we are called the Nature Coast here!!!!
