I am a kanaka (Hawaiian) and a proud graduate of the prestigious Kamehameha Schools. I continued my studies at the University of Hawaii.

The Hawaiian language lives on!
What we'll do:
Learn the basics of ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language). We will cover nā pīʻāpā (the alphabets), pronunciation, and common phrases.
We will also learn a very simple oli (chant) and cross examine similarities between the Hawaiian language and other Polynesian languages (i.e., Tahitian, Maori, Samoan, etc.
